Although there remains no singular approach capable of preventing wide scale HIV transmission, more moderate strategies, like antiretroviral treatment and pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP), have had recent success, especially when used in combination. The TITAN model allows us to explore the potential singular impact of each of these strategies and also the synergistic impact of combination strategies. We use our results to guide the implementation of highly effective HIV prevention strategies that are more efficient and more responsive to the needs of vulnerable communities.
